Can I use gradients or effects on UV DTF Transfers?

Colour gradients, yes. Fades to transparent, no: each part of the design is either printed or empty. UV DTF Transfers also don't come with effects like holographic or glitter.

Colour blends? Yes. Fades? No.

You can use colour gradients in a UV DTF design, with one limitation.

What works

  • Gradients that shift from one colour to another within a solid area.

  • Full-colour CMYK artwork. White ink is also part of the UV DTF print. See CMYK vs RGB.

What doesn't work

  • Fades to transparent: a gradient can't blend into the background or disappear into nothing. The ink is either printed or not.

  • Special effects such as holographic or glitter. For those, choose a sticker in holographic or glitter material.

There's no background around the design, so what you upload is what ends up on the surface. See Do UV DTF Transfers have a background? and, for printed stickers, Can you print gradients on stickers?
